Alliances and other Suggestions
Has anybody suggested alliances yet? I think that it would be a great addition to the game where you and your friends can work together as an alliances. For example, if you and an alliance partner work together to win a game, XP is split. Of course, maybe that wouldn't be too good of an idea in Tourneys, but it has a lot of perks. Plus, it adds an extra dimension of challenge to the game against other alliances, and, in addition to my previous post about trading with others, alliance members could also share resources and battle plans, so the game becomes a team game as well as individual game. Just a suggestion, more to come later.

I forgot to mention another thing. In the rankings, next to the player's username there should be their ranking number, so that we don't have to count from the top. :/

Not a problem for me since I'm 4th place now, I can check from the front page :)

Yup, and since the tournament is over when can can we expect to see the list?
I have to sit down and consolodate everything in a structured manner. More suggestions are coming in on the forum and my messages, so I have to make sure everything will fit nicely. I can either rush the feature list and make v2 a mess, or take my time and do it right ;)

Thanks :) The game is solid as it is, so there's nothing urgent that I'd risk messing with the balance right now. I am excited for a few of the things in v2.
It depends on how long it takes when I begin. I'll start later this month. I would assume the end of September or early October.

Suggestion: Provide players currently in a game the ability to vote to lock the game. Players may want to allow anyone to join a game up to a point, so they don't want to password protect it from the outset. But once you get going with a few people, and have a good game going, having new people popping into the game over and over can really throw the balance out of whack.
Alternatively, another way to help with this might be to have options when creating a game to:
1) Set a minimum number of players needed before the game can actually start.
2) Set the maximum number of players to something less than 8.
3) Set a time limit after which no one else can join a game.
Some good suggestions. However, all three of those were in earlier versions of the game and they had various problems.
Would you be interested in being in the v2 beta?

Well, I'll admit I didn't put a lot of thought into the ideas. I'm sure you'll think of some way to keep new players that jump in from upsetting the balance of a game.
Would love to try the beta, but I'm afraid I just don't have the time. I've already spent too much time here instead of doing other things I should be doing. Nice game, though. Hope it pays off for you.
