Hey guys,

I'm running another tournament -- the Lion Tournament. Finalists will receive a special badge. The Lion Champion will receive a 100,000XP bonus, an even more special badge and their name will live on until the internet dies out.

I don't get what kdesai is trying in "Game 'Lion 4'" as he was in my group, i won and now he's trying to secure himself a place? That seems rather unfair to anyone else in the same group. (or rather anyone who slept through the start and lost due to inactivity)

It "should" be finished as we've had 3 from 4 games end already and in game 4 is the only legit player DLEE3.

He said to me that admin allowed him to: I was but i had to somewhere n i got kicked out just after i joined so i asked admin if he'd let me in in lion 3 it was about to end so he let me in lion 4

These tournaments are layerd out so terribly, see the chaos and some of the worst bs happens when you go to sleep and someone just wipes you out and you cant do anything about it... Tournaments should be competitive not won when someone isn't even playing :

I destroyed him in my game. Then he joined again and was dead within 5min. (lost like half my army for that lucky shot but it worked)

If there's no winner by tomorrow, then the championship will only have 3 players (from Lions 1-3).

What times work best for you all?

Like at least make a system where when all the people enter the map at the same time and are on at the same time can start, cause that shit was stupid -.- not saying anything bad bout v2punkt he did what i would have done in a heartbeat! If i was in his position but the system really needs work :! Also Take of the abilitie for 1 person to join in again after he dies as i joined the US and tried to attack him lol didnt work to well xD

Implement a game timer for every one in the game. Allowing only x steps or minutes or whatever per cycle (maybe per day).

What? If no one else is playing then of course you're allowed to take over the world overnight. I don't see your point.

@admin: expansion juice doesn't work very well because the "cycle" is too short. Instead of 30min, make it 8 hours or so, that would give people a chance to respond.

@RTL: Sure you're allowed but with an increase of time in which your actions have to recharge, it means people get a chance to respond. Maybe, there should also be a activity-check so when someone doesn't play an action every 4 hours 3x in row, the other players timer charge could go up and the time for their actions to recharge decreases. (means if in a regular game only 1 is playing, 30min expansion juice recharge is ok)

Exactly and thats only for Tournies and Lightning when u fall asleep, you could loose everything even if u take the whole world and your missing maybe 3 countries, someone spawns in you sleep for lets say 8 hours, they take everything you have and win the game, done! You just lost when you had 3 countries to go

Unless you play for 8 hours straight, it's not possible to take all of them in that timespan.

It's very easy to play 8 hours straight if you only have to look after it every 30min or so. Even at work. :3

How about if everyone plays in different servers or something, so people from one part of the world plays and only plays against the people in their own world?

There aren't enough people playing to split them up like that.

Championship over, some rebalancing may be in order. If we had less juice or the juice came in longer cycles I wouldn't have been able to curbstomp this round before another player even logged in.

Giving us the option for increased cycle-times would allow for a lot more strategic matches because it'd be incredibly dangerous to try and steamroll the whole earth. Right now it is a very viable tactic to quickly rush and pray no-one logs on in time.

I've been looking at what needs to be tweaked. I've set expansion juice to 12k per half hour instead of 15k. Let me know what you think.

I'd go even further and set the expansion refill timer to once per hour or even once per two hours. That way the game becomes much less about how long you can be online. Right now I was able to rush the game in 12 hours or so. Quadrupling the cycle time would up that to 2 days, more than enough time for someone to get online and actually put up a fight.

The problem is, there has to be a balance. For your specific case, yes, your idea would work nicely. Although, there are many players who play differently. Needs to be a middle road.
